Would be awesome to have the equivalent of GitHub and GitLab for BitBucket!

Some of the test monitorings "randomly" fail with WebResponseKnownError.
Is there a way to prevent that?

Deployment summary screen
On the Deployment summary screen, there's no indication on what are the source org and target org. Would be nice to be able to check before the actual deploy.
1 voteThis has now been released.
The pre-deployment summary screen now lists the source and target org so you can be totally sure what you’re about to deploy the changes to.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Jason.

Option to run tests when deploying to dev or sandbox orgs
You run tests when deploying to production orgs, which is great, but sometimes I want to force tests to be run when deploying to sandboxes or dev orgs. Can you add in an option to run tests for these orgs?
1 voteThis has now been shipped. You can choose whether or not to run tests when clicking the deploy or validate buttons.

TLS 1.1 support
Salesforce are rolling out the requirement for org connections to use TLS 1.1 or above over summer 2016. Will Gearset support this?
1 voteGearset is now fully compatible with the TLS 1.1 and above requirements for all Salesforce orgs.

Add a test runner interface
Which would allow schedule full test runs and get an emailed report of all failures to stay ahead of an errant admin change blowing up a deployment, before you are validating a change set in your production environment.
1 voteThis is now live for all users under the “Schedule tests” tab in the app. You can also get notifications by email, SMS, Chatter and Slack.

Stay logged in / save comparisons
At the moment I need to login every time I want to do a comparison, so a stay-logged-in feature would be great, as would the ability to save a comparison and re-run it rather than need to customise it each time.
1 voteHi Jonny,
I’m going to mark this as completed, although it’s more of a completed two out of three requests.
We’ve added a comparison history feature so that you can easily access the results of any comparisons you’ve carried out between two Salesforce orgs.
Additionally, we’ve improved the customized comparison functionality by adding the ability to save customized comparisons and improved access for selecting them on the main UI which will be a big time saver for you.
We haven’t added the stay logged in feature and we can future that.

Add the ability to resize the diff viewer pane
I'd really like to increase the size of the diff viewer so that I can inspect more lines at once. Currently requires quite a bit of scrolling when it's a large diff.
1 voteYou can now drag the diff viewer to resize it.

Compare to a Specified Source Control Folder vs. Root of Source Control Repository during Comparisons.
I would like the ability to specify a file folder when comparing a sandbox to version control. Most of my salesforce projects have a SRC folder with the contents of my package.xml. By not allowing a source folder when selecting the branch to compare, it renders this comparison useless as all files show as new. Please implement this feature to allow a directory for comparison so that I can justify using / selling this tool.
0 votesHi Ben,
I’m glad that the issue was resolved for you with the adjustment in the location of the package.xml.
Regards,
Stephen

Clone package dialog: run comparison button slow to respond and provides no feedback
When you click Run Comparison, there is no immediate positive feedback to the user that the button was clicked and Gearset is working. You don;t get any feedback until the screen is refreshed with the Comparison progress - and this can take 5+ seconds

Deploy from change monitoring result
It would be great to be able to deploy changes detected in a specific change monitor result from the report history. Either to roll them back if they are unwanted, or deploy them to other orgs to replicate them into dev boxes.
0 votesWe think there are two parts to this request.
We’ve now added the ability to roll back changes from a change monitor result – you can selectively remove any changes made to that org on a daily basis by comparing from a snapshot to live state.
We’re now working on adding support to clone a detected change and deploy it to other orgs. This would let you push changes made in Prod down to a Sandbox, for example.
The second part of this is contained in another ticket, so we’re marking this one as completed.

Deploy to source control
It would be great to be able to deploy changes to my source control system, as well as from them, from the hosted app.

Track deployment validation errors more easily
When a deployment or validation fails, Gearset helpfully provides a list of the failure reasons. But when I go back to the comparison to make the changes, it's easy to lose track of what needs to be fixed. Adding the ability to export or save the warnings so I can easily work through then as a reference list.
0 votesYou can now export deployment failures as a CSV file from the validation or deployment failure screens. The CSV show the objects and their associated errors.
We may add additional functionality to this over the coming months to expand on how we track and display errors to make the process even easier.

Sort on column headings in Manage Orgs page
Ability to sort on the column headings in the Manage Orgs page.
0 votesUpdate on 19th July: this is now live
Thanks for suggesting this, it should make the Manage Orgs easier to use.
This work has been completed on our preview environment and is going through our testing cycle.
ETA is to release this on 18th or 19th of July.
Thanks,
Kevin
