Fix Keyboard shortcuts for selecting differences
When I have a lot of changes to review I'd like to use arrow keys to go up/down and expect "space" to toggle the checkbox for that. However the checkbox focus doesn't move with the highlighted row - so it doesn't work :(
1 voteThis has been completed and Gearset now has the shortcut keys you’d expect.

Include ability to add inclusion/exclusion option for custom filters
For custom filters we need to exclude objects that are non-relevant. Most often these are managed packages (eg. fflib*, al, rstk__, etc). The only way to do this currently is to deselect all items and manually select each item individually. Not only is this a laborious process, this means that anytime any other new objects are created, these custom filters will ALWAYS need to be updated in order to include them. An inclusion/exclusion filter offers greater flexibility and is maintainable. The current approach is neither a manageable nor scalable process for a large development team. Alternatively, add…
2 votesGearset now supports regular expression in custom filters, so you can write these kinds of rules

Include select all option for Manage Custom Filters
Selecting individual items to include for custom filters is a laborious process. We have to exclude 6000 items and we are unable to do this manually. Please add the select all option when using a filter in the manage custom filters dialog so multiple items can be selected at once.
1 voteGearset now has a `Select all` option for named items on custom filters.
Thanks for your feeback!

Export Comparison details all items
In the comparison details the tab "all items" it should have the ability to export the table

When exporting from the comparison reports page, the currently selected items should show in the export
Today when you are on a comparison results screen there is an export button that will export the entire list of comparison results to a csv. However the current export does not include a column indicating items that have been selected for the current deployment. Having this column would help in reviewing the list of data outside of gearset.

Refresh comparison
In the Deployments > Comparison History view, there is currently the action to "View Comparison" but it would also be nice to have a "Refresh Comparison" button next to it.

Remember last used Custom Filter, or set a Default Filter
It would be nice to be able to set a default custom filter.
Since the default "Default comparison" filter doesn't suffice for me.15 votesGearset will now remember the last used comparison filter.

View deployed components from a CI Job
Display components deployed via a CI Job. In my case, there are a greater number of total objects deployed than I would have expected; but, I have no way of viewing the comparison for what is automatically being deployed.
6 votesGearset now supports viewing the underlying comparison that ran as part of your CI job.
Press the `View comparison` button beside a particular entry in the CI history to see the components

Online help for Manage custom filters
For large Orgs, doing a comparison with the default set of metadata types can take a long time, and so it is necessary to select a smaller subset of metadata types to compare.
However sometimes it is not obvious how a particular configuration change in Salesforce relates to the metadata types in the custom filters dialog, and what dependencies exist between them. For example, after changing "Override" settings in the "Transalation Workbench" in Salesforce, it is not immediately obvious that you need to select both "Custom object" and "Custom object translation" metadata types in Gearset, rather than the "Translations" metadata…
1 voteGearset now links to the metadata documentation for each Salesforce type.
If you think there is more information we should be displaying, or if you’d like some custom documentation, then just let us know!

Allow search-based excluding of metadata for templates
Sometimes we have individual metadata that must be excluded-- every time-- from releases, without excluding the entire metadata category.
For our organizatin, for example, we want to exclude "Search" every time due to an error-- but we don't want to exclude the "Settings" metadata item.
It would be great if we could add specific exclusions to the template so that a specific metadata item would not even pop under the Compare screen. Doesn't really matter how it's done (fuzzy searching or specifically excluding standard items) to me.
2 votesThis work has now been completed, and you can specifiy individual items on the metadata filter.
The doc is available from https://docs.gearset.com/feature-guides/comparisons-and-deployments/custom-metadata-filters
