Remember last used Custom Filter, or set a Default Filter
It would be nice to be able to set a default custom filter.
Since the default "Default comparison" filter doesn't suffice for me.

I agree the default is generally heavy, but then it misses important things, like Lightning Components.
At the moment our org is still light enough and our sandboxes clean enough that I could use the preset for "all", but then I still need to remember to change it before I do my comparison.

The "Default Comparison" is quite heavy for my current use case.
Additionally, I assume that most orgs will need to sit down and determine what metadata they are going to version with source control, and the likelihood that that matched "Default Comparison" is probably very slim.
It's the kind of setting that an org is going to want to set-it-and-forget-it, so why not have an option to set up our own default option?

Yes - This please. A Default filter (per team) would work very well for this.
