  1. allow the ability to apply RegEx expressions to all metadata types to "blanket" include/exclude anything that includes the filter string.

    It's fairly tedious to have to go into each metadata type and apply the same RegEx expression for each one if we know that we do not want to include a namespace, package, etc.
