Improve formatting of the XML pushed to git
Is it possible to improve the formatting of the XML?
The XML returned from MavensMate is formatted better.
It's mainly just missing new-lines.
We’ve made a bunch of improvements to the XML formatting this year, including tidying up which namespaces are included and having more consistent indentation and newline behaviour.
As always, we love feedback on the changes we’re making so please submit another idea if there is still improvements we can make in this area!
Thanks,
Kevin

I would prefer that the output formatting should match the default output which SF migration tool provides.

I agree Matt.

I'd suggest the formatting match what is returned from the force.com migration tool, if it's feasible. For example, we are migrating from using force.com migration tool + bitbucket to Gearset + bitbucket. I can't use Gearset to deploy metadata into my existing bitbucket repo, because every file will register some change due to formatting differences.

Sure.
There's lots of missing lines here:

Hi there - would you be able to give an example or two of the formatting that Gearset outputs vs. the formatting you'd prefer?
Thanks,
