Add tool to send emails after deploying to specific targets
A project manager on my team expressed desire to receive reports when someone deploys to our production org. I would appreciate a tool that sends these emails only upon successful deployment to that specific org so that recipient's inbox is not flooded with every successful and failed deployment to every org.

Restrict visibility for monitoring jobs
I would like to be able to monitor daily changes made without those monitoring jobs being visible to the entire team. We have some super motivated people as well as the other end of that spectrum. I would like to have some data to visualize daily without the entire team seeing what I am doing.

Allow team member to create unit test job based on the shared connection
I try to create the unit test job but the org connection is available to me even it is shared to me with the deployment permission. I have to either create a new connection or let my colleague who is the owner of the connection do it now,
Thank you!

Ability to audit what users have done in Gearset
Hi, I suggest there should be a feature which monitors what the users within your orgs have done in Gearset. As we can currently are able to view both comparison and deployment history, however this does not give an audit trail of who has changed what and where.
For Example, the ability to review changes that a user has made to gearset comparison filters.6 votes -
Send email alert when monitoring job fails
It would be helpful if Gearset would notify the user when connection problems cause a monitoring job to fail.
For example, if the error "Error while getting access token due to expired access" occurs, Gearset could send an email to the author of the monitoring job informing them of the problem.

Add the ability to create some custom reporting against metadata change monitoring
I would like the ability to report on changes for an org over a time period grouped by metadata type or user. Filters would be by data, user, metadata type, change type. Would like to export or email the report too.

Include code coverage in deployment report
Hi,
I want to use the deployment report to monitor your progress towards improving the quality of our code.
So I need code coverage to be included in this report.7 votes -
Add a filter in monitoring job to exclude changes done by Gearset
To help identify changes done manually to the org it would be nice to have a filter which excludes all the changes done by Gearset deployment.

Update Metadata Change Monitor Report
When you update the change monitor report metadata filters and include new metadata types, the next monitor report shows all the newly added metadata as "New Items" on the report. Although not a big deal it did cause an alarm for us not realizing it was due to the change we made prior. It would be a "nice to have" feature if either you don't include the newly added metadata types as "New Items" on the initial report or flag them and have a visible cue to indicate the items were a result of newly added metadata items on the…

Add Salesforce ID to Export History button
Can you add the Salesforce ID to the Export History button for reconciliation purpose.
We currently have to manually match the Salesforce ID in Gearset with the Salesforce ID on the Salesforce Deployment Status page to get the reference between the source ticket in Jira and the deployed change for compliance purpose which is a time consuming process.2 votes -
Launch into our Connected Organizations from various screens in Gearset tooling.
Since we have orgs setup in the Monitoring Dashboard or simply in the list of Organizations under My Connections can we get a button that can open that org in a different browser tab ... it would be a super usefuil feature for those of us monitoring many many orgs. its like SFDX ORG : OPEN -u alias name .,..... but having that ability in the GS Tools in relevant areas ... (Monitoring, or My Connections come to mind first.) We have a mixture of DEV, Production and other scratch orgs both internal and External Clients ..... its not always…

Friendly name should be surfaced on the deployment summary page.
The Friendly Name should be surfaced on the deployment summary page, either as a row in the "Summary" section or in its own section, similar to Deployment Notes.
We often track deployments by saving links to the deployment summary. But there is not an easy way to grab the friendly name if we want to search the deployment report; for example to combine packages.

Lessen Permissions Needed To Run Monitor
When running Monitor, a user needs to have "Modify All Data" or "Modify Metadata Through Metadata API" permissions, and "Author Apex" is further needed if we want to monitor Apex classes. I understand why an user would need these when comparing for a deployment, but for a more "read-only" use case like running Monitor, is it possible to lessen the permissions needed?
Context: we're looking into using Gearset for auditing purposes, and the Monitor feature looks to fit our needs; that said, if in order to monitor production changes requires the user to have full deployment permissions (and author apex),…

Add capability to export components as part of the full deployment history export
It would be good if we were able to export the individual components that were part of a deployment when we export, say, the full deployment history from the past 6 months, or all time.
This would help with IT audits.3 votes -
Sort Deployment Details by New, Changed, Deleted
Currently, it seems that the list of Deployment Details provided in Successful Deployment reports is sorted alphabetically by metadata type.
It would be easier to understand the impact of the deployment if the list was sorted first by category (Changed, New, Deleted, No Difference) and then secondly by metadata type within each category.

Add additional controls to Monitor
Hello Gearset,
We are exploring using the "Monitoring" functionality to audit our Salesforce production metadata changes for our IT Controls. It looked promising until we found out that anyone on the team can edit any monitor job setting, which creates a loophole in the controls that we can't monitor the monitor.
So I'm curious to learn from Gearset whether any of the following can be done/requested:
* Can we limit the Monitor jobs to only be editable by the person who created it?
* Can we show either an audit history or LastModifedBy/LastModifiedTime of the Monitor job?
* If the…4 votes -
Detailed monitor reports to inbox
Opening the Monitor reports in Gearset is very time consuming. I would like a daily report to arrive in my inbox with the Changed, New or Deleted object names, Data Changed and Who.

Archive or hide Automation jobs
On each of the Automation dashboard views (Monitoring, Unit testing, Continuous integration) it would be nice to have a way to archive or hide job. Often times previously setup jobs that are not active but would be good to keep for historical reference can clutter the dashboard.

Allow custom endpoints for webhooks from Unit Testing and Monitoring Jobs
You can post to Slack, Teams, and Chatter when an org monitoring job runs. But, as a consultancy, we'd like to post to our own SF org in a more general way. We have records for each of our customers, and it would be good to be able to report on summary data about the Gearset's monitoring for those customers.
If there were a configurable endpoint we could target that at a custom REST endpoint on our Salesforce and then join things up.
