Option to create a CI job only for back propagation
We created some CI jobs for back propagation of changes from Production to other downstream branches and orgs. But these CI jobs also pick up pull requests(from a different pipeline) for forward propagation.
So, basically there is no way currently to create a CI job just for back propagation. It will be good to have a toggle in the CI job to mark it for forward or backward propagation7 votes -
Add the ability to set Metadata filters for all Pipeline environments at once
In order to update the metadata filters in a pipeline, one must individually update each environment's metadata filter from the list of Continuous Integration jobs.
It would be amazing to be able to set a metadata filter in the pipeline and have it propagate to all environments in the pipeline.

Quick deploy in pipelines
It would nice to be able to use the Quick Deploy feature once a release is validated, instead of either hitting deploy or scheduling the deploy and having it validate one again.

Grouping developer sandboxes in Pipelines - back-promotion to a group
Team,
Currently Gearset Pipelines only offers the option to connect a developer sandbox group to a single downstream environment. While back-promotion to a group isn't available yetCould you please enable it ?

Precision Deployments for Lightning Web Components
It is very much required to have Precision Deployment for LWC components as it is common to have multiple developers working on same LWC

Allow tests to be run in parellel in multi orgs and allow aggregations of results for PR validation and speed up non prod deployments
We get 100 sandboxes, Can create test orgs org1, org2, org3 where our unit tests are split and run in them so hour long tests just take 1/3 the time? We would like it to be part of our pipelines as of now PR validation to develop takes 40 mins which makes it unustainable.

Automate Jira Status when a Pull Request is created in Pipelines
Presently, the capability to automatically update the Jira Status of a ticket is limited to transitions occurring between different environments in Pipelines. Enhancing this functionality to include automated updates triggered by the creation of a Pull Request would prove beneficial, eliminating the need for manual intervention when transitioning to stages such as "Code Review."

Conflicts between the Feature branch and Promotion branch as comments in the Github PR.
Currently when there is a conflict between the feature branch and the promotion branch in Github- The Gearset Github app does not move new commits to the promotion branch. This totally makes sense but it is not obvious to a developer what is going on. I suggest that the Gearset app post a comment to the PR (or a message in the Github Check run maybe) that there is a conflict that needs to be resolved before new commits to the feature branch will propagate to the associated promo branches. Thanks!

New, one-click "Promote" button is very risky
In Deployment Pipelines when a PR for a CI Job is selected, a new, one-click "Promote" button exists, if the PR passes merge-conflict and validation checks. This new button is very risky in that it begins the promotion process, without recourse, when clicked.
Perhaps that's the designers intent but for myself at least, the button is too easy to accidentally click out of inattention, distraction or mouse clumsiness and is especially risky in that I cannot recall the action.
Personally I like the process of clicking the PR checkbox and clicking "Promote", which prevents unintended deployments.
As an alternative to…

Add pipeline support for CPQ
CPQ deploys to and from Github/Salesforce so it should be a relatively simple issue to include this in the pipeline deployments. You could add a checkbox or just warning to ensure that triggers are manually disabled when that is needed.

Ability to remove PR's from a created release
WHen working with pipelines, when we create a release and we merge PR's to the release so we can then deploy later, it would be nice if we have the option to remove them in case someone change their mind instead of cancell release and srtart over

is it possible to add a filter for "selected feature branches only" ?
is it possible to add a filter for "selected feature branches only" ? My business problem is that i am a deployment manager and i need to quickly validate what ive selected before building the release.

Show Date/Time of Validation Run in Validation Details
I would like to see the "Effective Date" of a validation in the Validation Details screen (at /continuous-integration-job-validation-errors).
I only ever access this information from the Deployment pipelines and so don't ever see the date/time the validation was run (near as I can tell this is only available in the CI jobs section).
To better explain my reason for asking:
Oftentimes when a validation fails it is sufficient to rerun the validation (on account of Delta CI jobs doing weird things sometimes). What I've found myself doing is perusing the validation errors, clicking "retry validation", then going about other tasks…1 vote -
Create releases in Pipelines not at final stage
Right now you can only create releases at the last environment in a Pipeline. We'd like to have 2 stages so we have a true dry-run of deployment. Our pipeline is
Dev > QA > UAT > Staging > ProductionCreation of the release branch before Staging would allow us to effectively cherry-pick what we want deployed into Staging as we get UAT approvals, do a test deployment where QA does a sanity/smoke test and have greater confidence when we get to our Production release.

To have an option to run unit tests either for Validation or Deployment or both
Hi - for larger projects with 100 plus or more unit tests, deployments do slow down if there are a lot of them during the day and unit tests run twice. Once during validation and once during deployments. Can we have an option where unit tests can be turned on/off for validation and deployment separately?

Ability to automate deployment to a particular environment without manually promoting changes
When there are multiple Salesforce environments in the deployment pipeline, like Integration, Qa, Stage and Production, we would like to have ability to automate deployments to a specific environment, without having to select PR and promote changes manually. Most of the times SIT/Integration environment will be used for Developers to be able to perform integration testing, where we do not want someone like a Lead to review and promote PR manually. It will be beneficial to deploy the changes automatically, as soon as someone creates the PR to the Integration environment.

Roll back feature branches all at once
The tool works really well in the UI promoting things forward through the pipeline. You can select one or more feature branches and promote them one at a time or all at once. It would be great if you could do the same thing with roll-backs. This would make things clean simple and alleviate the fear that you accidentally left something out or accidentally roll-back something you didn't mean to
given that the need for roll-back functionality is inherently somewhat urgent, the tedious nature of having to carefully pick through a larger subset of metadata items to roll-back makes it…

More efficient spacing on Pipeline environments
We can only see 4 sandboxes at a time when fully zoomed out. We have 9 sandboxes. Since we aren't able to zoom out further or rearrange the sandboxes we are constantly dragging the screen to pan up and down, to see the state of the orgs.
There is so much whitespace in each node, any chance you could lessen the padding/spacing between the lines in each box/env/node, or between the nodes themselves? Maybe proportional to the max nodes in a single column?1 vote
