Move Package Contents to Left Column on Deployment Screen
On the "Summary of Items to deploy" page, the items in the deployment show in the 3rd column. So when you go to choose tests, you can't see what's in your package. Makes it very easy to miss a test.

inform users they're logged in somewhere else when failing concurrent logins
When a user might attempt to log into their account from a second computer (or VM), its appropriate to fail their login on the second computer. Right now, there is no indication that this has occurred because they're already logged in elsewhere. The error talks about adding Gearset IPs to Salesforce, but the issue is being logged in already.
I suggest telling us we're already logged in. It's easy to forget!

Include support to name space filter to include option to include unlocked packages with no namespace
Currently there is no way to retrieve and compare components belong in an unlocked package with no name space without using the 'include managed package' namespace filter 'all' option.
this might include too many items that I am not interested in.

Metadata filter - ability to select Report/Dashboard folders by parent folder name
When setting up a metadata filter for a new comparison, when it comes to Reports and Dashboards, it would save sooooo much time if they could be selected according to the top-level/parent folder that they reside in. That would enable the ability select all reports within a single parent folder at once, rather than having to select reports separately which reside in a nested/child folder.

Link to salesforce source records
When reviewing a Comparison with Salesforce as a source or target, include a link to the Setup/Configuration page that is being compared. For example, a link to a Page Layout that the user could click to jump right to the Layout in the appropriate Salesforce environment. There are times when we review Comparisions and need to see the source outside of Gearset and this gets the user there much faster.
The link would appear in the header of the Comparison window, near where "SOURCE" and "TARGET" are listed.

Excluding Record Type Problem Analyzer Should Behave the Same Across Metadata (Layout Permissions, Custom Object Permissions)
In the situation where a repository is the source and an org is the target, there may be a situation where a record type doesn't exist in the repository but references in the layout permissions and custom object permissions do still exist.
Currently, the problem analyzer will catch the custom object permissions and ask you to remove the references to the record type that doesn't exist in the target.
However, it doesn't catch the layout permissions and the deployment could fail with an invalid reference.

Allow Scheduling of Comparison and Export Results via Email
Our use case is to schedule the comparison of two sources (Salesforce orgs) which are both "dev" environments, on a daily basis, yet receive the comparison results as an email attachment. The format of the export file within the comparison itself is what we'd need. This would save time & clicks by not having to log into the app and dig into the comparison job to manually extract the csv file.

Account owner should be able to delete templates created by others
If a team member is removed from Gearset team, any template or previous activity can not be removed by anyone else. Leaving some clutter behind. It would be good to have the Owner of the Gearset account/team to have a super admin level access to all templates/data created by other team members so clean up could be managed....

A configuration to prevent deployment from certain Sandbox Org into Production org
In most of Tech industry deployment lifecycle, all code or config changes are ideally pushed into production only from a FullCopy Sandbox(Commonly Known as Staging Environment).
It would be very good to have a feature in GearSet App which if enabled shouldn't allow user deploying data from Dev/DevPro/Partial Sandbox into Production Org.

Modify the "Changed On" drop down filter groupings to round to the nearest day, rather than the exact time the change was made.
It would be helpful if in the "Changed On" dropdwn filter if it grouped it into days, rather than the exact time the change was made. Also, if there were preset groupings like "Today","Yesterday","Last 7 Days", etc.

Allow components to be added or removed from an data deployment template
Currently when a data deployment template is created, there is no way to edit the template after it is saved so that components can be added or removed. It would be helpful if we could modify the components in the template without having to create the template from scratch again.

When Field is Deleted Permission Set changes are not recognized for the Field
Let's say we have only one object in the system. Addressc. And we have one Permission Set -> "System Administrator" with only "FieldPermissions" for all fields in the "Addressc" object.
Now I wish to Remove 2 Fields from "FieldPermissions" of the "System Administrator" Permission Set.
1st Field I'm removing just because I do not want the permission to be in the Permission set

Support multiple SFDX projects for a custom GIT repo
When comparing / deploying using a custom git repository, containing multiple SFDX projects, present the user with the ability to select which SFDX project to compare / deploy, either by package.xml or sfdx-project.json. Currently Gearset fails and reports multiple sfdx-project.json were found.

Distinguish between process builder and flow
If you do deployments of flows and processes from process builder, both of them are handeled as a flow. If you need to activate the flow or process manually in a production org, you need to guess if it was a flow that you have deployed or a process.
Please within the deployment report (and the comparism), distinguish between flows and processes.2 votes -
Add new connection ends in loop
When I add a new connection via choosing "Salesforce authentication", I need to enter the username. I click on "Authorize". Instead of a redirect to the Salesforce login screen, I see a blank page with a gearset spinner logo. But this screen takes hours and will not redirect. I'm using Firefox and the Org is a sandbox (sandbox is also selected)

Ability to change Formula Fields to other Field Types
Gearset doesn't help with one of the most common deployment headaches: changing a formula field to a non-formula field type. It's still a nightmare even with Gearset.
What would be awesome would be if you had a "Change Field Type Wizard" where we could say FormulaField1 needs to become TextField1 and it would do multiple deployments to accomplish the changeover:
- get components
- deploy temp field of new type AND update all existing components to reference the temp field instead of the formula field
- deploy delete of formula field

Ability to chose SFDX source format (force-app) compare or old style (src)
Add a checkbox to chose wheter we want a sfdx compare or an old one (in order to not let gearset chose for us)

call webhook with scheduled deployment
We would like Gearset to call a webhook when a scheduled deployment completes. The message to the webhook should pass a message with the org name, UTC datetime, the deployment friendly name, URL of Gearset deployment results and a status field with 'succeeded' or 'failed'

Add support for "ServiceCrew" and "ServiceCrewMember"
These two objects are part of the FSL package for Salesforce. Right now, when we do a compare between two orgs, no results with be shown.

While configuring a data deployment, allow save after selecting objects and fields
There's no opportunity to save the data deployment settings after selecting objects and fields, and this can be quite time consuming, so if the job fails due to auth or other issues, right now, this requires the user to start over, and re-select objects and fields.
