Create a pop-up warning when on the Selected Items tab before you can deselect all items
Without the Undo feature, there is the odd time (nightmare situation) where you haven't saved your compare and are on the Selected Items tab and accidentally deselect all items. It would be great to get warned that all work will be lost unless it's saved or the deselect action is canceled.

Allow searching for specific fields in backups
Backups are currently only helpful if we know when an object was changed or deleted. However, we often run into an issue where an object was changed an unknown time ago, we have to spend a lengthy amount of time searching through backups. This is a very, very tedious process as you can't open backup runs in new tabs, so you have to click the link, go back, reset the date filters, and find where you left off. If we could use search criteria to filter data and metadata changes, that would help tremendously!

Add a 'flag' to ignore XML 'utf' versus 'UTF' in XML header.
I believe there exists a mismatch with the XML header reference to UTF in the Gearset library to what is used in SFDX.

Transfer ownership of an Org Monitoring job
Transfer ownership of an Org Monitoring job:
We are a consulting firm and a project team often changes during the life of a project. Right now if we have an org monitoring job tied to a project and the owner of that job is moved off the project we need to create a new job and perform a manual comparison.
It would be great if instead of all these manual step we could just change the owner of an Org Monitoring job.

Test salesforce connections in mass to highlight which need to be re-authorized
Having a way to monitor/test all salesforce connections in mass to then highlight which need to be re-authorized would be helpful instead of catching them when preparing to do a comparison.

Have an ability to modify message which is posted to Slack channel.
It would be nice to have the ability to modify this notification message somehow.
E.g. include a number of PR which was merged into the main branch. Or remove extra information such number of deployed components.now it looks too big
Gearset Continuous Integration
A continuous integration run succeeded for ***** CI/CD. The job was a deployment.

Ability to filter records on field "ischanged" when doing a data backup comparison.
Instead of just being able to filter on field values when comparing a data backup. Give the user the ability to filter on a certain field being changed.

dynamic search function after comparison
dynamic search function
it would be helpful after the comparison to look for multiple components at the same time and not each one individually. for the release we get a list of components example from the developer:
CustomerAddress
CustomerNamec
Customer_Telc
...I want to include the entire list in one search, and I want gerset to search for each row individually. Example in SQL:
SELECT * FROM table
WHERE column1 LIKE '%customeraddress%'
OR column1 LIKE '%customernamec%'
OR column1 LIKE '%customer_telec%'
OR column1 LIKE '%customertele_c%'
...this change would save us…

API to export backup to S3 for data warehousing/datalake
A lot of time we would like to have data out of SF not just for backup purposes but for data analytical purposes as well. Ownbackup currently has this functionality via APIs.
https://documenter.getpostman.com/view/12146739/TzJuAxgY#0f1fc918-7616-4b58-8d52-0e8370f57d9b
https://ownbackup-kb.magentrixcloud.com/articles/knowledgebase/Using-the-OwnBackup-API-5-6-2020
If gearset has this, it would help us move to GS for all our SF problesms

Allow users set their own default tab view when viewing the comparison between orgs
The recent change (March '22) to change the default tab when viewing a comparison from Changed Items to 'All Items' makes it more difficult to quickly see changes, because maybe there aren't any. The All Items list would also be extremely long if the org is particularly complex.
As such, I propose that you give users the ability to select their own default tab when the comparison page loads, so we can choose to always view 'New' or 'Changed' items.4 votes -
Approval process for metadata deployment
It would be great to have a approval process for the deployment.
For example, once we have completed the comparison and validation, we can click a button "e.g.: Submit for Approval" and an email will be sent to a list of email.
In the email, receiver can review the summary of the deployment (e.g.: source org, target org, number of changed/new/deleted components, ...) and click on a link to approve or reject the deployment.
We can deploy only when the job is approved.5 votes -
BitBucket commit on a successful Org deployment
It would be a nice feature to have a setting on the deployment summary page to also commit to a git branch with deploying to an org.

Force-deploy Flow translations with no difference
At the root of this, the main problem is that if you create a new flow version through the SFDC flow editor interface, the flow will have a new version of the flow translations based on the previous translations.
But if you DEPLOY a flow, the new flow version is created WITHOUT flow translations at all.
This would be fine, if gearset would allow us to reliably deploy the flow WITH flow translations, even if the flow translations had "no changes". (Gearset does not allow us to deploy items with no change, and sometimes doesn't even show them in the…

Integrate with Rally as an option in addition to JIRA/ADO
We have customers who use Rally to manage their requirements similar to how many use Jira. Would be great to have this capability

Add Time Column to the CI Deployment page
Due to recent latency issues regarding SF performance issues, I would like to quickly see how long each CI job takes without having to download an individual report for each job. This can either be solved by either:
Adding a field to the CI Deployment page so that I can compare each CI job
Allow me to extract a complete report of all of the CI jobs and open it in excel with the time column so that I can compare the values. I can currently do this from the Deployment history page, however this does not include the CI…

Retrieve Metadata into local environment (e.g. using VSCode pluging)
This would make the integration of Version Control and Gearset nicer. Where now user has to go to Gearset deploy to a feature branch, afterwards, go to VSCode pull from the feature branch.

Rolling back deployment made by CI JOB
Currently it is possible to roll back a deployment made by CI Job, though that rollback will only be performed to the specified Org. Hence, other Orgs have to be rolled back individually.
Use case: I have propagated changed from my Sandbox to Staging. An issue was identified that requires a substantial amount of work where that feature cannot be included in the next deployment to production, hence it needs to be removed from Staging. Though, other sandboxes back propagated that feature because they assumed it should work.
It would be amazing if the rollback used Github commits, so the…

Support SAML-based SSO and SCIM-based user provisioning
To improve security, user experience and reduce user administration time, SAML-based SSO and SAML JIT provisioning or SCIM-based provisioning would be fantastic.

Remove/Deactivate new feature for batch comparison
A few weeks ago, Gearset added a new feature to officially make the comparison faster, by showing already results of first batch and add the rest later on.
This feature makes it much more difficult to do comparisons. First of all, I don't see any benefit. I still need to wait for the whole comparison to finish, because I still need to now, what has changed. Why should I look into the first things, when I need to look into it again, after the rest is compared. So before I can select anything, I need to wait the whole time…

Add More Granular Control over Email Notifications
Allow users to enable/disable categories of email notifications at the user level. E.g. success emails for monitoring jobs, deploy succeeded/failed emails, etc.
Alternatively, or possibly in addition, allow users to "mass-edit" job notification settings, so we don't have to edit each one individually.
